Nieuwe wegen, nieuwe bestemmingen. Ik geniet volop van de reis.

[:en]Everything starts in the Imaginary World…
I studied journalism and worked as a copywriter. Nine years ago I decided to change course and to follow my dream, writing books for children. After my first book ‘Adventures of Glass’ was published and became a bestseller, I thought that I had reached my goal. However I realised that my writing had given me a new ambition, to encourage people of all ages to find and use their own passion and talent. To help them discover their own Imaginary World and to inspire them to become who they truly already are. An ambassador of dreams and of pursuing those dreams.

The development and startup of the successful business project, ‘Stories from the heart’, at a primary school near Hoorn, North-Holland, is an example of what I would like to contribute to this world. At this school, children wrote about their dreams, which they collected from their imaginary world. All these stories were collectively compiled in a book, which was then published by the children. The pupils were able to utilise their own talents to achieve this.

Writing your story from your imaginary world and creating your own reality can take you to faraway places. It has guided me along undiscovered paths and towards new destinations. I have been approached by Start-bee, an English organisation, which encourages handwriting by selling e-learning programmes with physical Handwriting Kits. Start-bee has adopted ‘Adventures of Glass’ for its Dyslexia Handwriting Kit. ‘Adventures of Glass’ will be an international release and will be translated into English and Spanish.

I am also working on a series of books and a ‘magical’ coaching plan that will be offered worldwide as an accompanying e-learning programme to the Start-Bee Handwriting Dyslexia Programme and Kit. New paths, new destinations. I am thoroughly enjoying this journey!
